We understand that travel plans and event schedules can change. At The Palash Hills Hotel & Banquet, we strive to maintain transparent, fair, and practical cancellation and refund terms for individual room stays and festive banquet hall bookings.
1. Hotel Room Bookings Policy
The following cancellation rules apply to individual and family room reservations booked directly with the hotel:

- Early Check-Out / Shortened Stay: If a staying guest checks out earlier than the booked departure date, the remaining nights are non-refundable unless agreed upon by management in writing under emergency circumstances.
- No-Show: Failure to arrive by 11:59 PM on the scheduled check-in day without advance notice will be treated as a No-Show, and the entire advance room booking fee will be forfeited.
2. Banquet Hall & Event Bookings (Grand Hall & Classic Hall)
Because banquet halls represent dedicated, exclusive full-floor reservations that block prospective event dates for other families and organizers, distinct cancellation terms apply:
- Advance Booking Token: A minimum 25% to 50% advance booking deposit is required to confirm and lock a banquet date for the Grand Hall or Classic Hall.
- Cancellation 30 Days or More Prior to Event Date: 75% of the advance deposit will be refunded, or 100% of the deposit can be adjusted towards a rescheduled date within 6 months (subject to hall availability).
- Cancellation Between 15 to 30 Days Prior: 50% of the advance deposit will be retained as cancellation compensation, and the remaining 50% refunded.
- Cancellation Less than 15 Days Prior to Event Date: The advance booking deposit is non-refundable, as the hall was exclusively blocked and cannot be easily re-allotted on short notice.
🔄 Event Date Rescheduling
If you need to change your celebration date due to unforeseen family emergencies, please contact our banquet manager at least 15 days in advance. We will do our utmost to transfer your advance deposit to any available mutually agreeable date without penalty.
3. Refund Processing & Mode of Payment
- Approved refunds are processed to the original mode of payment (bank account, UPI, or card) within 5 to 7 business days from the date of written cancellation confirmation.
- Cash refunds are not issued for digital or banking transactions.
4. Force Majeure (Unforeseen Circumstances)
Neither party shall be held liable for failure to perform or cancellation arising from events beyond reasonable control — including acts of God, extreme natural disasters, pandemic lockdowns, state mourning, or sudden administrative curfew orders issued by Ranchi district authorities. In such cases, bookings can be carried forward to a future mutually agreed date.
